Through use of materials such as wax, plaster and mixed media – combining epoxy putty with actual fabric, binding with glue – a direct response to reality is achieved in the initial form of a sculpture.
With casting to metal the differing materials harmonise; the directness and dynamism of this initial form is given a permanence before each individual cast figure attains classic refinement through careful finishing.
