A rendering of a Cavalry Horse inspired by Morpurgos book .The sinews of the animal at the limits of its endurance  is what i want to convey . Fear and aggression together , and a tribute to this most loyal of mankinds friends.

I am presently adding more figures to encapsulate the magnitude of tragedy experienced by the defeated German VI Army in Southern Russia. So far nearly fifteen men have been reconstructed, using help from friends to model actual winter uniform and equipment in my studio space here in Winchester. Each figure is only around 30cm in height so the piece will grow in length as I make more  to enable display in a large setting such as Winchester Cathedral.

At present a portrait of Miss Kawasaki is being brought to conclusion. She modelled the cotton version of the traditional kimono dress worn for formal occasions in present day Japan. The shape of this wonderful costume I felt was best demonstrated by the seated pose Manami adopted. This was made in soft modelling wax.

A First World War British Army Rifleman is the depiction of a model dressed in authentic Somme period uniform and Battle Order equipment. The informal pose contrasts with the formal nature of post WWI memorials. The figure attempts to communicate  vulnerability, representing the moment of a soldier awaiting zero hour , …… and his destiny on the fateful attack of the 1st July, 1916.

Prototype for a potential life-sized mixed media project using original archeological relics.

She has been called  ’Russias Soul’.  Her style is classically pure. She is the greatest living Ballerina,  and has made the role of Odette/Odile her own.
